Synopsis

Maria, over 50 years old, lived in a village near Chernobyl when the nuclear disaster occurred in 1986. She and her neighbors were evacuated from the 30-kilometre restricted zone. Years later, longing for her hometown, Maria and her sisters secretly returned. They adapted by living a self-sufficient life in the abandoned village, surrounded by the remnants of their past. The film captures their struggle and connection to a home left behind.
