Synopsis

Miners operate drilling machines in northern China, enduring sleepless nights amid the noise and dust from iron mines. Herdsmen abandon their meadows as mining expands, forcing them to leave their traditional livelihoods. Nearby, coal miners fill trucks with coal, which is then transported to iron works. In a local hospital, these workers reflect on decades spent inhaling coal dust, facing severe health consequences and a bleak future.
