Synopsis
Kirk W. Johnson returns to the United States after leading reconstruction teams in Baghdad and Fallujah. He learns that many of his former Iraqi colleagues face death threats from radical militias due to their work with U.S. forces. Frustrated by the U.S. government's inaction, he compiles a list of those in danger and begins a four-year mission to help them find refuge in America. Alongside refugee lawyer Chris Nugent, Kirk assists several hundred Iraqis, including Yaghdan and Ibrahim, in their quest for safety.
