Synopsis

Samy Szlingerbaum's family seeks refuge in post-World War II Europe. Set against the backdrop of Brussels, the film uses the Yiddish language to tell their story. Made in 1982, "Brussels-Transit" is the first Yiddish feature film in thirty years. Szlingerbaum combines drama with documentary footage to depict the struggles of European Jewry during this time.
