The List is a documentary directed by Beth Murphy that follows Kirk W. Johnson, an American who worked in Iraq and is now trying to save the lives of Iraqis who assisted the U.S. during the war. Over four years, the film captures Kirk's efforts and the personal stories of those on 'Kirk's List,' including Yaghdan and Ibrahim, who fled Iraq after receiving death threats. The documentary reveals the struggles of these individuals as they navigate life in hiding and the bureaucratic obstacles in the U.S. that hinder their escape. Ultimately, Kirk manages to help over a thousand Iraqis reach safety, while grappling with the limitations of his humanitarian mission.
