Synopsis
A young Buddhist monk in Bhutan faces the arrival of the Internet with uncertainty. Filmmaker Thomas Balmès captures his transformation as he navigates this new technology. Initially hesitant, the monk becomes deeply engaged with the digital world, which changes his daily life and perspective. Set against Bhutan's rich Buddhist culture, the film illustrates the effects of connectivity on a society that has remained largely isolated. "Sing Me a Song" runs for 99 minutes and was released in 2020.
