Two siblings in a Himalayan village face the pressure of family expectations as one considers a monastic life while the other dreams of playing professional soccer.
Synopsis
In a Buddhist temple in Bhutan, siblings Gyembo and Tashi face the pressures of adolescence. Their father, the temple's overseer, wishes for Gyembo to pursue a monastic life, but Gyembo is reluctant to abandon his modern English-language school. He struggles between the call of tradition and the desire for freedom. Meanwhile, Tashi, who identifies more as a boy, dreams of becoming a professional soccer player and hopes to attend a camp that could lead to a spot on the national team.
