Synopsis

Torre Bela, a site of homestead occupation in Portugal, became a focal point during the revolutionary period of 1975. Filmmaker Thomas Harlan captured this moment on camera. In 2012, José Filipe Costa revisits the events three decades later. The documentary questions Harlan's role in the unfolding situation and assesses the film's impact on the lives of the occupants. Through interviews and archival footage, it reflects on how the occupation has shaped collective memory in Portugal.
