Synopsis
Ms. Ryan Eehon, born in 1916, lives alone in Osaka after moving from Cheju Island, South Korea, following the Korean War. The film intertwines footage from 38 years ago, created by researcher Shin Gis, with present-day scenes. It details Ms. Ryan's life as an ama diver and her experiences sending her children to North Korea through a repatriation program. The documentary also captures her return to Cheju Island after 53 years and her final visit to North Korea in 2003.
