Synopsis

Sayome, a Japanese woman, moved to Crete in the 1970s after falling in love with a Greek man. The cultural differences between her homeland and her new life were stark. Decades later, filmmaker Nikos Dayandas travels with Sayome back to Japan. Together, they navigate her search for identity and connection to her roots. The film captures her reflections on love, culture, and belonging against the backdrop of two distinct worlds.
