Synopsis

Issa's decade-long escape from West Africa through Mali, Algeria, and Libya to Italy culminates in disillusionment upon his arrival in Rome, where he faces homelessness and unemployment. Alongside Drissa and Sekou, who await residence permits in Italian asylum centers, and Bubu, who struggles with job instability, Issa's experience reflects the harsh realities of migration. Alassane, living without identity papers in a refugee camp near Rome, embodies the uncertainty faced by many. Together, they confront the stark contrast between their hopes for Italy and the challenges of their new lives.
