Synopsis

Men travel from Niger to the coast of Algeria in a truck. They seek a better life but face dangers along the way. Upon reaching the Mediterranean coast, they attempt to cross the sea to Europe. Many risk their lives in this endeavor. The documentary documents their struggles and the grim outcomes of migration. Directed by Olivier Dury, "Mirages" runs for 45 minutes and was released in 2008.
