Synopsis

Samuel stands on the docks of Saint-Maxime-du-Mont-Louis in Gaspesia, Quebec, as winter settles in and fishing boats are dry docked. With plans to buy Clément's retiring boat, he aims to become his own captain. Despite facing challenges such as increasing regulations and dwindling resources, Samuel remains determined. His ambition is notable in a village where few young people choose to stay, and even fewer pursue traditional fishing careers that are increasingly at risk.
