Synopsis

Dimitar has spent 45 years at sea, documenting life aboard ships with a VHS camcorder since 1987. Along the Black Sea coast, Alexander faces the EU's program to reduce fishing cutters, leading him to destroy his ship and begin building a new one the next day. Hristo's fishing vessel is seized in 2012 for poaching, resulting in years of legal battles. Meanwhile, teachers Zoya and Plamen captain their boat, catching rapa whelks to supplement their modest incomes.
