On August 6, 1945, the Enola Gay dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, marking the first use of nuclear weapons in warfare. The documentary recounts the three-week period leading up to this event, from the Trinity test to the bombing. It features interviews with six Japanese survivors, including nurse Kinuko Laskey and schoolboy Thomas Takashi Tanemori, alongside American military personnel such as pilot Paul Tibbets. Archival footage and dramatizations illustrate the planning and execution of the attack, as well as its devastating aftermath.
