Synopsis
Hatsue Sato, a master chef in her late seventies, runs a restaurant in Tokyo with her husband, Koroku. She is one of the last chefs preserving the traditional cooking style of Shandong province in China. The film follows her return to Shandong, where she participates in a television interview and meets Liu Gwangwei, president of a culinary college. When a modern chef struggles to replicate her recipes, Hatsue decides to stay in China and cook them herself, despite Koroku's reluctance to relocate.
