Synopsis

Subbalakshmi lived near salt pans, surrounded by her thoughts and memories. She left behind a trunk, a diary, and scraps of paper that tell her story. Active in the independence movement during the 1920s and 30s, she withdrew from public life due to personal circumstances. The film addresses the limitations placed on women and their efforts to express resistance in alternative ways. It presents a personal narrative set against the backdrop of a significant historical period.
