Synopsis

Snehalata Reddy, a prominent actor and socialist, faced unexpected imprisonment during India's Emergency from 1975 to 1977. As the only woman political prisoner, she endured eight months in solitary confinement, documenting her experiences in a diary. Her writings later became a source of insight into her struggles. Released briefly on parole, Reddy died of a heart attack just before returning to prison. Reminiscences from her children and close friends recount her ordeal and its impact on their lives.
