Synopsis

Dandan performs daily in a small playhouse in Sichuan, China, as part of a traditional theatre troupe. Eleven members present a three-hour show that blends classical Chinese opera and acrobatics. Dandan has been with the troupe since childhood, sharing a living space with fellow performers. Tensions often arise among the group, but Dandan remains dedicated to her role as the heroine, despite her concerns about the future and the aging audience that adores her.
