Synopsis
In 1909 Alberta, a young Englishman writes home about his new life as a rancher. He describes his 90 acres of land and the challenges of adapting to the rugged lifestyle. Despite his enthusiasm, distractions like badminton and liquor hinder his progress. As winter approaches, he feels increasingly isolated and longs for the comforts of home. The film captures his struggle between refined upbringing and the demands of frontier life. Directed by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby, "Wild Life" was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short in 2012.
