Synopsis

Under the walls of the Akrestsina detention facility in Minsk, relatives gather anxiously as authorities begin a mass release of protesters on August 13-14, 2020. Many wait for news of their loved ones, including children, spouses, and siblings. As detainees emerge, they recount experiences of violence and abuse. Director Andrey Kutsila focuses on the emotional turmoil of those waiting, capturing individual faces and overheard conversations filled with pain and uncertainty. The film reflects the collective anguish of a nation in turmoil.
