Synopsis

Refugees, immigrants, and locals migrate year-round to harvest wild mushrooms in the American west. These workers engage in self-employment by foraging in public forests, which provides an accessible means of income. Despite their efforts in sustainably supplying the world's restaurants, they often face barriers, including being denied access to public lands. This documentary highlights the inequities in natural resource policies and showcases the resourcefulness of those who are disenfranchised in their pursuit of livelihood.
