Synopsis
Maria, a caregiver from a Romanian village, travels over 1,000 kilometres to Austria every four weeks to care for the elderly. While she is away, her aging parents manage on their own, and her husband Daniel takes over household responsibilities. Their two sons envision different futures, diverging from their parents' paths. After a month of work, Maria returns home, but her goal remains to save enough money to open a small bed and breakfast, allowing her to stop the cycle of leaving.
