The Sacred Science

Synopsis

Eight patients travel to the Amazon jungle in search of healing. They leave behind their lives in the developed world to participate in traditional practices led by indigenous medicine men in Peru. Over the course of one month, they use plant remedies and spiritual disciplines to address illnesses such as diabetes, prostate cancer, and alcoholism. Five return with positive results, two come back disappointed, and one does not return at all. The film runs for 77 minutes and was released in 2011.
