Synopsis

A Jewish wedding cameraman travels through Eastern Europe. He seeks lost klezmer melodies while pursuing a klezmer clarinetist. Along the way, he encounters remnants of Yiddish culture. The Klezmer Project includes interviews and performances that illustrate the musical tradition. Directed by Paloma Schachmann, the film received the Best First Feature Award at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival. It runs for 117 minutes and includes multiple languages, such as Yiddish and Ukrainian.
