Synopsis
Roman Vishniac's photographs capture the life of Jewish communities in Eastern Europe. "Echoes That Remain" focuses on the remnants of these communities in Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. The production team spent over a year researching and collecting rare archival photos and film footage. The documentary includes live action sequences filmed at historical sites, bringing to life folk stories and anecdotes from these regions. It presents a visual history of cultures that once thrived.
