Synopsis

Bransk, Poland, once home to 2,500 Jews before the Holocaust, becomes the site of a significant return for two elderly Polish-American Jews. Producer Marian Marzynski, a child survivor of the Warsaw ghetto, documents their visit alongside a Polish Gentile who has restored the local Jewish cemetery and researched the community's history. As they reconnect with their roots, the returnees confront the complex legacies of their former neighbors, including those who betrayed them and those who acted as saviors during the Nazi occupation.
