Synopsis

Erik van Lieshout returns to his childhood village of Deurne for the project 'De Gloeiige'. Over the course of a year, he films the relationship between city and countryside. The work interweaves politics, craft, land art, and local myths. Van Lieshout also creates sculptures, including a nearly five-meter-high rabbit made of hay and several egg sculptures. The film runs for 60 minutes and was completed in 2024.
