Synopsis
French artist Joseph Kieffer travels to Rimouski, Quebec, invited by the Caravansérail Artists' Centre, where he encounters local ice fishermen on the St. Lawrence River. In exchange for their stories, Kieffer crafts unique weather vanes for their fishing shacks, creating a bond between art and tradition. _On the Ice Floe_ explores the communal spirit of this ephemeral community, highlighting the annual ritual of ice fishing and the serene atmosphere that envelops the frozen landscape each winter. Directed by Stéphane Lahoud, the film runs for 27 minutes.
