Synopsis

Ryun-hee Kim, a North Korean housewife, lives in South Korea after being forced to leave her home. For seven years, she struggles to return to her family in North Korea. Political barriers complicate her efforts, leaving her family in the North in a state of emptiness. Ryun-hee fears fading from their memories as time passes. Directed by Yi Seung-jun, Shadow Flowers examines her fight against the absurdities of inter-Korean relations. The film runs for 109 minutes.
