Forget Me Not

Synopsis

On a South Korean island, three women navigate the challenges of unplanned pregnancies while living in a shelter for unwed mothers. Under the guidance of Mrs. Im, the shelter provides a temporary refuge as the women confront the difficult choice between keeping their children or placing them for adoption. Director Sun Hee Engelstoft, a Korean adoptee, draws from her own experiences to depict the societal pressures and family traditions that limit their options. The film presents a complex portrait of hope and struggle.
