Synopsis

Singapore is home to nearly 30,000 animal species, many of which remain hidden from view. In urban environments, banded bullfrogs engage in territorial battles in rain-filled drains, while predatory mantises hunt in suburban gardens. Dwarf honey bees gather nectar and pollen, and caterpillars transform into plain tiger butterflies. In the city's forest reserves, termites build intricate tunnels, recycling nutrients, while rare snails and large forest ants forage in the undergrowth.
