Synopsis

On the banks of the Qiantang River, four civil activists confront environmental degradation in China. They challenge local authorities in Beijing and Changsha, refusing to accept the pollution and ecological destruction around them. Their stories illustrate the struggle against the advancing sand of the Tengger Desert and the contaminated waters that threaten their communities.
