Synopsis

Kifaya Ayati, a resident of Acre, faces the impending release of her violent husband. To cope, she paints portraits of women harmed or killed by their partners. Each portrait represents a woman’s story and becomes a meeting point for their sisters, mothers, and daughters. The film critiques the failures of Israeli society, police, and courts in addressing domestic violence. "Portrait" runs 82 minutes and was released in 2021.
