Synopsis

Karimah Ashadu captures the Jos Plateau in Nigeria, a region once dominated by British tin and columbite mining. This activity sustained local communities until the late 20th century. Today, mining has shifted to artisanal methods, revealing the challenges of manual labor. Ashadu questions the environmental damage caused by unregulated resource extraction, presenting a stark portrayal of the ongoing impact on the land and its people. The film runs for 30 minutes and was released in 2022.
