Synopsis

Nusa Ina depicts the arrival of Moluccan soldiers and their families in the Netherlands after Indonesia's independence. These soldiers served in the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL) and expected to return home to fight for the Republic of South Maluku. However, the Dutch government discharged them from military service, blocking their plans. The documentary details their struggle as returning to their home island, Nusa Ina, became impossible. The film runs for 34 minutes and was released in 2023.
