Synopsis
On the outskirts of Kaluga, a group of grandmothers, known as dru zhinnits, gathers each evening. Most are over eighty years old. Wearing red armbands, they take to the streets to clean up their neighborhood. Their presence makes it more difficult for local drinkers to congregate in courtyards. Directed by Andrey Tkachenko, the 47-minute documentary captures their efforts to reclaim public spaces and foster a sense of community.
