Synopsis

On Monte Bianco in 1932, Gabriele Boccalatte and Ninì Pietrasanta meet and begin a partnership that blends love with mountaineering. Over the next four years, they tackle challenging alpine routes, documenting their climbs through journals and photographs. Ninì, one of the few female climbers of her era, captures their adventures on a 16mm film camera. After Gabriele's tragic death in 1938, Ninì shifts her focus to motherhood. In 2000, their son Lorenzo finds hidden film reels that reveal their shared history in the mountains.
