Synopsis
Agostino Gazzera, known as 'Gustin', worked at a Fiat factory in the 1950s. He trained as a mountain climber, inspired by figures like Riccardo Cassin, Giovanni Boccalatte, and Lino Gervasutti. Gazzera's story intertwines his working-class background and his ambition for a better life. Set against the backdrop of the Italian Alps, "L'alpinista" presents the contrast between labor and adventure in post-World War II Italy.
