Synopsis

Johann Natterer arrived in Brazil in 1817 as part of the Austrian Expedition. Over eighteen years, he collected more than 50,000 objects from the country's diverse environments. Natterer’s work contributed significantly to natural history, documenting flora and fauna previously unknown to Europe. His legacy remains influential in the study of Brazilian biodiversity and the history of scientific exploration. The documentary runs for 84 minutes.
