Synopsis

Niger, a landlocked country on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, faces severe health challenges, with less than a third of its population having access to healthcare. High rates of malnutrition contribute significantly to maternal and infant mortality, primarily due to iron-deficiency anaemia. This hidden hunger affects nearly all women and young children, gradually diminishing their strength and immunity to disease. The documentary highlights the urgent need for improved nutrition and healthcare access in one of the world's poorest nations.
