Synopsis
On the Metropolitan main line, trains have transformed over decades. Filmed in 1995, the documentary captures the iconic “A” stock trains in their final years of service. These trains, first seen in unpainted aluminium and later in refurbished blue, red, and white colors, operated for over 50 years. The film features both a tastefully refurbished train on the main line and unpainted stock, marked by graffiti, running on the branches. The transition to S8 stock trains began in 2010.
