Synopsis

Samuel leaves his rural home in Kenya for Nairobi, seeking a life beyond the constraints of tradition. In the city, he connects with a community of queer men and falls in love with Alex. As their relationship deepens, Samuel faces the challenge of coming out to his family. The legal environment in Kenya complicates his situation, as laws continue to criminalize homosexual relationships. Directed by Peter Murimi, "I Am Samuel" runs for 70 minutes.
