Synopsis

A Kazak family in Xinjiang, China's western-most province, travels across vast grasslands to find food for their animals. The family, consisting of 11 children, faces significant challenges, including periods of hunger that last several days. Filmmaker Wei Bin spent four years documenting their nomadic lifestyle from spring to winter. The film captures their deep connection to nature and moments of joy amid hardship. It contributes to a growing body of work by Chinese filmmakers focused on the country's ethnic diversity.
