Synopsis

Nancy lives on the banks of the Ucayali river in the Peruvian rainforest with her family. They produce coal by hand. After an accident burns her feet, the grandmother leaves, hoping to die far from the coal. Nancy remains with her young son. She continues to face challenges as she fights to keep her family together. The film documents their struggles for survival and the impacts of coal production on their lives.
