Synopsis
Five Anishinaabe youth participate in a summer research project alongside their Elders. They gather stories about past generations who lived sustainably off the land. These narratives reveal the effects of environmental and cultural dispossession on the transfer of knowledge. As summer concludes, the youth receive teachings from their Elders. They leave with a renewed commitment to promote health and well-being for future generations. The documentary runs for 60 minutes and was released in 2013.
