Synopsis
Max Entell, a cheerful man and self-proclaimed hug addict, encourages his son Peter to make a film about aging titled “It’s Fun to Be Old.” For years, Peter has filmed Max, capturing their interactions and conversations. Getting Old Stinks takes the form of a letter to Peter's absent mother, using photographs as a backdrop. The 85-minute documentary reflects on family, memory, and the passage of time through the lens of Peter's relationship with his father.
