Synopsis

In a small house in Montevideo, Daniela lives with her son, husband, mother, sister, and brother-in-law. They are better off than many in their impoverished neighborhood. The family relies on the father’s income, which is vital for their survival. Daniela dreams of a life far away from her current circumstances. The film portrays her as a devoted mother and daughter, while also addressing the emotional toll of emigration on families like hers.
