Some villagers remain committed to cultivating lotus roots, finding value in their labor. Elders reflect on their “eagle hands,” symbols of their hard work. Meanwhile, the youth who stay face challenges as they seek to reclaim their cultural heritage amid the decline of traditional farming practices.
