Synopsis
Norwegian and Swedish soldiers served as UN peacekeepers in the Congo during the Congo Crisis from 1960 to 1964. Many of these soldiers were unaware of the challenges they would face. For the first time, veterans recount their experiences, including dramatic rescue operations and instances of captivity. The film features exclusive archival material from the crisis and reflects on the ambitions of UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld. It presents a defense of international cooperation amid contemporary global tensions.
